Museum of Contemporary Art
The beautiful building of the Museum of Contemporary Art (built from 1960-1965) is one of the most important achievements of post-war Yugoslav architecture and an important example of museum buildings in the former Yugoslavia. After renovation it was re-opened in 2017. The architects were Ivan Antić (1923-2006) and Ivanka Raspopović (1930-2015).

Book presentation at Konrad Adeenauer Foundation. The author of the book is Jelena Jorgacevic Kisić, a journalist from the Belgrade weekly Vreme. Jelena is a doctoral student at the University of Regensburg. She has won several national journalism awards for her articles. She is the president of the non-governmental organization Forum for Religion, Media and Culture of Remembrance.

In the Slovakian Lutheran church the synod of the church took place. On the picture you see my colleague Anna.

Sarajevo
On the way home to Furtwangen, Germany, I took a route through Bosnia and Hercegovina. I stayed over night in Sarajevo and learned much about life and tradition in this vibrant city. Very important were talks with various NGOs, but also with an Old Testament scholar who told me that in Foca there will be an interreligious study programme soon. Muslim, serbian-orthodox and roman-catholic theologians are developping a curriculum.

Bosansko Grahovo
I spent the night in Bosansko Grahovo at the invitation of a theologian friend. There, on this historic day (28 June), he showed me the house where the assassin of Sarajevo, Gavrilo Princip, was born. A whole new perspective on history!
Vienna
In Vienna, I visited a member of the board of the "Evangelical Church of Bulkes" support organisation. I also met a Russian student for a coffee whom I came to know in Belgrade. I stayed overnight with relatives who live in the 13th district.
